From London to Paris, to interior design
The career of this surface pattern designer began when she wrote articles in the field of Art in London, designed magazines and illustrated children's books. Keen to deepen her drawing and design skills, Kate Merritt is taking a year off to experience and embrace Parisian culture, falling in love with the city. She decides to stay there and lives today at the gates of Paris with her family. Her works have led her to experiment with a wide range of styles. More recently, Kate has discovered the joy of surface pattern design, finding her inspiration primarily in the flowers and other botanical treasures she admires during nature photo shoots. In love with patterns, she assembles these collected forms in a balance between symmetrical rhythm and organic abundance. Very ornamental, his creations are found on a range of objects for the home such as bed linen, cushions, fabrics, stationery and today panoramic decorations in collaboration with Etoffe.com. A premium non-woven backing from sustainably managed forests and environmentally friendly inks have been chosen to serve these exceptional wallcoverings.
