Delius fabrics, a long-term vision



Founded in 1722 in Bielefeld, Germany, Delius has a rich history spanning nearly 300, or 9 generations. With its blackout, flame-retardant fabrics that improve the acoustics of a room or resist humidity, Delius stands out by constantly developing new materials that meet the highest quality requirements, including design. Delius takes into account that safety is a crucial element, the Trevira CS offers durable protection against fire. This type of material is designed to resist wear, light, frequent washing and even disinfectants, while remaining compliant with safety and health standards. 



Testing carried out in independent laboratories ensures that these fabrics meet the high demands needed for environments such as hotels, cruise ships, performance halls and schools. Delius thus provides additional assurance that these places can be both safe and comfortable for everyone.



Delius adopts prudent management and long-term planning, including collaborating with other companies that share their commitment to social and environmental responsibility. 



Led by Dr. Marc Schmidt and Kai Hofmeister, Delius combines German and international production and meets the challenges of the future.

Delius behaves ethically towards its employees, its business partners, society, the environment and future generations. Protecting the climate and resources is a priority for the company. Delius adheres to the Code of Conduct of the German Textile and Fashion Industry Federation, based on international principles of human and labor rights protections. This code is inspired in particular by the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Delius refers to the United Nations' 17 global sustainable development goals to guide its actions. Delius products are notably certified by recognized ecolabels: EU Ecolabel, Oeko Tex Standard 100 and AEO for supply chain management.
