Karpeta was founded in 2006 by Reggio Calabria and Daniele Morabito in a region where land and sea merge, and where myth and reality meet in what was once Magna Graecia. Travelling the ancient caravan routes with the desire to open up to new horizons is the starting point for these carpets. As a collector, D. Morabito's father would return from his travels with precious antiques and objects with a wealth of experience. A family passion that gave rise to a taste for handmade carpets, stimulated by a contemporary aesthetic quest. Karpeta is the fruit of a vision in perpetual renewal and experimentation. In the carpet's yarns, texture and color, different cultures come together. Karpeta's aim is to redefine materials and living spaces, to shape space and enhance perspectives.
