A savoir-faire inherited from the master wax makers of the 17th and 18th centuries

Continuing on from La Manufacture Royale de Cire, now renamed Trudon, it was in 1884 that Carrière brothers set out to modernize this ancient know-how through their curious spirit and their capacity to innovate. This is how they extend the religious use of candles to a decorative object illuminating the most beautiful festive tables. In 1889 their contemporary vision served by their traditional technique was rewarded with a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition.

Handcrafted in Normandy in the Trudon factory, Carrière Frères candles are inspired by the intrepid spirit of 18th century missions, the journeys of botanists and their discoveries of rare and exotic plants. These exceptional candles illustrate the richness of plant biodiversity and restore the beauty of each plant and its precious and unique benefits in a rich olfactory palette.

Carrière Frères, a company classified as a Living Heritage Company, is also committed to an approach that is most respectful of the environment. For example, the manufacture of candles is made up of 100% vegetable wax based on European organic rapeseed, the boxes are made from 100% recycled FSC certified cardboard, with the ambition of eliminating any non-renewable element from the chain of manufacturing.
