For more than 30 years, Christopher Farr, from the Slate School of Art in London, and Matthew Bourne, with whom he shares the same passion for contemporary art and design, jostle the world of contemporary rugs with their breathtaking editions where art and tradition meet. In addition to their collaborations with prestigious contemporary designers, the duo also published rugs based on the work of outstanding artists of the twentieth century, like Gunta Stölzl or Josef and Anni Albers. Produced in close collaboration with the institutions or families who own the artists work, each piece reflects and respects its creator's designs.

Christopher Farr company is as well respectful of traditions and workers, selecting the very best yarn and expert craftsmen, while ensuring the working conditions of the artisans. Thus the company actively supports Care & Fair, an organization based in India, which outlaws child labor and encourages the education of children in weaving areas.

If the name of Christopher Farr is intimately linked to art it also stands for the utmost in quality and integrity.
