Collection Plastic Rivers

This collection of Plastic Rivers carpets mixes craftsmanship and recycled materials. Its aim is to raise awareness of the scourge of plastic waste. Álvaro Catalán de Ocón collaborates with Gan Rugs to put an end to this problem of the industrial age. The Ganges, the Indus, the Yangtze and the Niger are the most polluted and polluting rivers on the planet. Here they are faithfully represented via a particular model. A beautiful way to show the terrible paradox of this concern. Indeed, these true aquatic paradises have been transformed into sordid dumps. To give meaning to this proposal, the carpets are made from recycled plastic fibres. This is a good way to give a new destiny to this material. For a perfect finish, a hand tufting is done.
