For Schumacher, Laura Gonzalez brings together a fabric collection inspired by a traveler’s imagination, where the motifs and symbols of a dreamed Orient resonate. The hand is tactile—at times dense, at times supple—revealing the richness of natural materials like linen and cotton. The compositions weave a living memory: dreamlike gardens, ritual geometries, floral ornaments, and floating prints respond to one another in a diversity of rhythms. Sometimes precise, sometimes fluid, the designs evoke fragments of landscapes or found objects, appearing as if suspended within the creations. Each weave becomes a place, a silent trace to be explored by the eye.
