Marble rug illustrates the ability of the famous Parisian antique dealer and decorator Madeleine Castaing to renew classic patterns, in particular through unique color associations. Edited by Codimat Collection, Marble rug, hand knotted in pure wool, highlights the "Castaing blue" that this figure of twentieth century decoration had developed and widely used in her home. Sublimated by a border of stylized foliage, this marbled rug offers a parenthesis of poetry and refinement.
