Inspired by Delftware, this Moooi rug designed by Marcel Wanders is round, reminiscent of the circular shape of the ceramic plates. Mixing a sumptuous blue with white, its floral pattern highlights the rounded shape of the whole. It is composed around a central flower and extends to the contours. The designs are regular, decorative and very graphic. With Delft Blue Plate, the artist succeeds in giving a second life to the traditional patterns of 17th century ceramics and brings real contemporaneity to the spaces.
