Vitrail Fabric - Tassinari et Chatel

Created as a damask by Maurice Dufrène in 1911, the motif of the Vitrail fabric is then adapted as a brocatelle. It is composed of plant elements with rounded lines to reveal the dominance of an prominently Art Nouveau style. To balance the whole, Tassinari et Chatel opt for symmetry and iridescent reflections inspired by Art Deco.

The Patrimoine Collection by Tassinari et Chatel brings together fabrics with a wide variety of styles. There are mainly plant themes with flowers and foliage. Some fruits or a checkerboard also make their appearance in some models. They adopt vintage touches of various periods while imitating the damask, the lace or the marquetry. Art Nouveau and Art Deco also contribute to this range. They are made of natural textiles such as cotton, linen, and silk. These noble materials help to highlight the predominantly bright colors used for the decoration. They are complemented by relief techniques and the use of iridescent threads.
