Little Greene: from high-quality paint to wallpaper Created in 1773 near Manchester, Little Greene Dye Works is one of the oldest industrial sites for paint manufacture in England. Situated at the confluence of two rivers, the location benefits from a flow of clean water, making it very popular over the centuries. This resource was used as a precious ingredient incorporated into the products. The first paint was made using pigments similar to those used by the great artists of the time. Little Greene still uses many of these constituents. The depth of colour that can be found on Little Greene wallpapers is remarkable.
