CF Editions

CF Editions, a partner brand of the Christopher Farr company, has been perpetuating its expertise in the creation and publishing of contemporary art-focused rugs since 1988. Since its inception, it has collaborated with numerous influential artists and designers such as Kate Blee, Andrée Putman, Gary Hume, Sarah Morris, or their foundations, as well as for editions based on the creations of Gunta Stölzl, a female figure of the Bauhaus.

For more than 30 years, the Christopher Farr house — founded by Christopher Farr, a graduate of the Slade School of Art in London, and Matthew Bourne, with whom he shares the same passion for contemporary art and design — has been shaking up the world of contemporary rugs with its breathtaking editions where art and tradition come together. CF Editions embodies this part of its heritage: beyond collaborations with prestigious contemporary designers, the brand produces models based on the works of leading 20th-century artists. Gunta Stölzl or Josef and Anni Albers are notable examples. Produced in close collaboration with the institutions or families that own the works, each model reflects and respects the work of its creator.

CF Editions is also the extension of a house that respects traditions and workers, selecting the best quality wool and expert craftsmen, while ensuring the working conditions of the weavers. Label STEP is the brand's fair trade partner.

While the name Christopher Farr is closely linked to art and prestigious rugs, CF Editions is today its editorial face: an exemplary model of editions based on the quality and integrity of creation.
