Edited by Designers Guild, the Kirkwall collection brings together fabrics where material expresses itself through the density of the weave and the richness of the relief. The surfaces reveal tight weaves, almost grid-like patterns, and "faux-unis" animated by slight irregularities. Fine vertical ridges respond to horizontal lines, while loops and knots punctuate the textile field with an organic rhythm. Thick, sometimes twisted threads intersect in an intense construction, subtly disrupted by slight shifts.
