The audacious FuturLiberty, a collection of futuristic fabrics released in 2023, marks a turning point in Liberty's history. It reinvents the publisher's image through the facets of vorticist art, far from the floral and Paisley motifs that have forged its identity since 1875. The new models are largely inspired by the avant-garde designs of Bernard Nevill, the British designer who ran Liberty's workshop in the 1960s. Two years after his death in 2021, interior designer Federico Forquet pays tribute to him by refreshing his style. The new motifs, marked by swirling geometric figures, express the effervescence of emotions. They are meticulously painted or glued by hand, before being printed, embroidered or woven. Their swirling motion, accented with bright hues, energizes interiors and brings in a zest for life.
