Salima Filali, a Franco-Moroccan architect and designer, began her career in a major architect's office in Geneva. Originally from Fez and fascinated by the culture, heritage and atmosphere emanating from this city, she discovered the traditional know-how of zellige. The quality of the raw materials and the expertise of the craftsmen constitute a real recognized heritage. In 2020, she launched her project in collaboration with local workshops. At the same time, she won the Light Up call for applications from the WRP Foundation, which decided to promote her project to create decorations between Paris, Geneva and Fez. Through her terracotta creations, Salima develops a new language of shadows, lights and textures. Like an invitation to travel, she imagines handcrafted creations in free format filled emotions.
