This decorative wall panel in indigo tones is based on a work by the famous Japanese painter Hiroshige Utagawa, known for his particularly enchanting representations of nature. This print kept at the Musée Guimet, Paris, is from the series La province de Musachi. This place is located today in the prefectures of Tokyo, Saitama and Kanagawa. The flowering in Koganei amazes by the remarkable gradient of the sky and the shadows of the ground which frame the plum or cherry trees in bloom. Mount Fuji in the background is highlighted by the fork of the tree. This motif dating from the Edo period is printed on a high quality Greenguard certified medium.
