Nubra Fabric Casamance

Rich in texture, Nubra de Casamance pays homage to a valley in the heart of Himalayan India. Its irregular surface is punctuated by knots in bouclette yarn, evoking the clumps of sea buckthorn that grow near the dunes. The dotted lines in lurex, illustrating the flakes of mica and silica, seem to flash. They enliven the textile with their metallic sparkle, adding a contemporary touch to the whole.
