Morris & Co's Wilow Bough Caffoy velvet features gracefully interlaced weeping willow branches. The motif, created in 1887 as a tricolour wallpaper, returns here in a sober monochrome palette. It is printed on a dense, woolly fabric, whose cut hairs amplify the bushy appearance of the foliage. The overall effect is highly refined, brightening up spaces with a slightly lustrous sheen.
