Collection Ornata

The Ornata collection, one of Montecolino's outstanding works, brings together particularly ornamental wallpapers. The designs are inspired by different elements of the natural environment, giving rise to an eclectic range of motifs. Despite their differences, they share in common an impressive trompe l'oeil effect. This characteristic feature is achieved by working on the texture of the support, in addition to the clarity of the shapes and colours. Surfaces are highlighted using a flocking technique to create a velvety look, or enhanced with glass beads for a pearlescent, sparkling aesthetic. These finishes make the figures more real and immersive. They fool the eyes to such an extent that we have to use our hands to distinguish the fake from the real. The wallpapers, which speak for themselves, show that Montecolino has a keen eye for detail and perfection.
