Founded in 1902 in the United States by Louis Maharam, the eponymous brand crosses the generations and evolves by creating in the 1940s textiles intended for stage costumes then turns to furnishing textiles in the 1960s. Maharam, rocked by the patterns of the past

Founded over a century ago, the American brand Maharam has an incredible heritage. Its collections regularly look back to the past and showcase interesting productions. The Textiles of the 20th century collection in particular, brings together fabrics paying homage to modernism with graphic and colorful patterns.

Maharam textiles are included in the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Stedelijk Museum, among others.

Concerned about its ecological footprint, the company is committed to respecting the environment and considers its creations to be sustainable. It does this by having a Cradle-to-cradle production and labeled products, among others Eu Ecolabel, Greenguard gold and Oeko-tex.
