This rug is the result of the research of Faberhama, studio of an Italian designers duo based in Amsterdam, in an approach focused on experimentation while integrating craft techniques. The designers explore the imagery of mythological figures and nomadic population. Inspired by "Jali", these window screens with openings in geometric pattern to observe the world without being seen, part of the rug is covered with lines, continuous or dotted. Another part is colored with a fiery plumage associated with the phoenix, symbol of rebirth. Warm-toned threads glide gently to the ends of the rug and are tied to wooden rods. The rug becomes a window on a distant territory inviting to dream and escape.
