Pimpernel Coton Fabric Morris and Co
Pimpernel fabric is inspired by an 1876 wallpaper designed by William Morris for the walls of his dining room. Morris & Co revisited the same figures in brighter, more luminous colours, on a flamed cotton and linen fabric. It depicts a meadow in bloom, dominated by large chickweed flowers. The play of symmetry and interlacing makes the design particularly attractive, as does the softness of the fabric.
