The Halcyon fabric is Osborne and Little's ode to Alcyone, a woman whom the Greek god Zeus transformed into a water bird. She is symbolised by the kingfisher, lapwing and avocet that appear on the design, perched on a water iris. The figures are depicted in bright colours, enhanced by the light background of the all-linen fabric.
