Calculate the length of the blinds

  • Mounting inside the window surround
  • Mounting outside the window surround
  • Mounting on the window wing
  • Mounting on the outside of the window

Mounting on the inside of the window surround (window sunken into the wall)

The width of the blind is equal to the width of the window surround, less 4 centimetres (or 2 cm on each side). Its height should be equal to that of the window surround less 2 cm.

  • Leave sufficient space above the window so that you do not obstruct the opening of the window once the blind has been put up.

Mounting on the outside of the window surround (window sunken into the wall)

This type of mounting offers the best cover and allows you to blacken out the room as desired. The width of the blind is equal to the width of the window surround, plus 10 cm (or 5 cm on each side). Its height should be equal to that of the window surround plus 10 cm.

  • Make sure that it is always possible to open the window once the blind has been installed and mounted.

Mounting on the window wing

The blind is fixed directly onto the window wing and moves at the same time. Its width is equal to that of the widow itself plus 3 cm (or 1.5 cm on each side).

  • Make sure that the blind is positioned as such that it does not obstruct access to the handle of the window.

Mounting on the outside of the window (window aligned with the wall)

The width of the blind is equal to the width of the window, plus 20 cm (or 10 cm on each side) to guarantee good blackout properties. Its height should be equal to that of the window surround plus 10 cm.

  • Mount the blind using spacer brackets, allowing for the protrusion of the window handle.
