Morris and Co

Archive II Prints is a collection of fabric by Morris & Co that is full of history. Indeed, it is the first ever range of the brand to be digitally printed. The designs all date from the late 19th century and take inspirations from poems, tapestries, Japanese designs or block-printed wallpapers. Some of them are original creations by William Morris himself when some newer ones stem from the work of contemporary creators. Those works of art are so beautiful that some were even reinterpreted by other brands or slightly altered to adapt to modern taste. However, the keyword for this selection is well and truly fidelity to the essence of Morris & Co. Almost all the textiles display floral elements, ranging from acanthus and bamboo leaves to wildflowers. They are accompanied by more or less stylized elements such as stems or leaves. Bright colors decorate the graphics, making the models sometimes appear like aquarelles.
