Japanese Folklore Rug Nodus

Created by Spanish designer Jaime Hayon, Japanese Folklore is a perfect illustration of the artist’s work. In all of his inventions, he strives to blur the boundaries between art, decoration and design. He imagines this rug, a design decoration object, like a painting. Made of Chinese wool and silk, this soft Nodus rug has a poetic motif as if drawn by hand on a white sheet and slightly colored. Completely surreal, and reminiscent of an engraving by Joan Miro, this work represents a face surrounded by decorative geometric shapes with notably stars and colored dots.
