Collection Marianne

Clarke & Clarke's Marianne collection, featuring floral and botanical motifs, is inspired by the paintings and drawings of British artist Marianne North. This botanical painter travelled the world alone, exploring flora in the four corners of the globe. Her discoveries, documented in an unprecedented way through contemporary paintings, brought a great deal of innovation to the Victorian style of the time. Her work is now on display in a botanical library in London, providing an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Drawing on the legacy of this pioneer, the editor has created a series of original, richly coloured fabrics. The figures, as transitional as they are attractive, are created using a variety of techniques. Woven, embroidered or printed, they offer a variety of seductive creations to suit every style of interior.
