Carodeco, the robustness of real cement tiles

In the small town of Bourg-de-Péage, 20 km from Valence in the Drôme, Carodeco develops its traditional cement tiles’ collections. The tiles are meticulously handcrafted in Vietnam by craftsmen whose know-how is renowned. Their wear resistance allows intensive use for many years. Carodeco imagines a range of 32 plain tiles to be combined or not with decorated tiles. Friezes and rugs are also part of the references offered to create a refined and warm interior with a nostalgia touch. Carodeco offers great freedom of creation to lovers of architecture and authentic decoration.

Carodeco aims to minimise its environmental impact, particularly through the choice of materials used, the artisanal and sustainable production of its tiles, and the local and high-quality nature of its operations. The cement tiles are fired without a kiln, which reduces the energy footprint compared to traditional ceramic tiles. These tiles are designed to last a very long time, thanks to their wear layer or ‘face’, which limits the need for frequent replacement and the production of waste from floor and wall coverings. Carodeco tiles have a UPEC classification that confirms their durability and suitability for floors and walls subject to moderate to heavy traffic. By offering products that are sustainable, aesthetically pleasing and repairable, the brand is committed to the principle of “consuming less but better”.
