Bark is a rug designed by Serge Lesage. Its pattern is organized in discontinuous strata, crossed by fragmented shapes with broken contours. Dense areas alternate with more airy spaces, revealing inlaid details that break the regularity. The surface seems sculpted by successive overlays, scratches, and friction. The whole forms a fluid, borderless composition, where each trace evokes a slow, almost mineral transformation.
