Carpet Ceramic Tiles Cross 1 Francesco De Maio

In collaboration with Francesco de Maio, the architect Giuliano Andrea dell'Uva has designed a composition of glossy ceramic tiles, Carpet Cross 1. Once assembled, the tiles form a stunning carpet with a solid-coloured grid pattern on a white background. At each end are intersecting fringes. Made and painted by hand, Carpet Cross 1 rug is made up of 20 centimeter square tiles.

There may be slight variations between styles. These are not defects. They demonstrate the unique character of each piece.

Cleaning advices

We recommend regular cleaning with hot water or steam. As these tiles are non-porous, greasy cleaners should be avoided. For intensive cleaning, use white vinegar or baking soda and rinse thoroughly.

Cut

Unrectified: after firing, the tiles are not cut. Slight differences in size remain (+/- 3mm). Slightly rounded edges require a wider seal.

Gelif: these tiles should not be laid outdoors at the risk of seeing them crack. There are exceptions: contact us for a project in a dry area with little temperature variation.
