With Tumulte Purple, French designer Inga Sempé gives a second reading of the classic Persian rug. The name she gives to her creation refers to a disorderly agitation. A washed-out effect and a weft non perpendicular to the format of the carpet bring this tumultuous dimension. We mainly find a purplish hue that we could easily find in nature. Then variations in intensity and hues play like musical notes and bring poetry to this rug. This very contemporary creation was made using a Nepalese technique which brings a finish similar to pointillism.
