Faberhama studio, an Amsterdam-based Italian designers duo, provides with Grypho a reflection on the boundaries separating people into a meaningful double interpretation. Following lines of demarcation, two entities coexist by sharing and exchanging their characteristics. The designers also make a pictorial appearance of a legendary figure with a lion's body and an eagle's head: the griffin. Represented by tufts of dark wool, the plumage of the eagle mingles with the fur of the lion knotted with golden shine. In the center, a brass element, the treasure protected by the griffin, radiates. Symbolizing the meeting of two populations as well as the encounter between terrestrial animals and creatures of heaven, Grypho is a bridge between these worlds.
