Altiplano velvet from Osbourne and Little is characterised by its embossed small clusters. The pattern is first achieved by jacquard weaving, before being shaved on the surface to create cut loops. The latter provide a velvety feel while the cotton fibres that make up the textile give it a more matt sheen.
