Specialising in weaving silk, Tassinari & Chatel is the oldest factory in Lyon. Founded in 1680 by Louis Pernon, as a "weaver of gold and silver sheets", it supplied upholstery fabrics, silks and the most luxurious materials to the great European courts, notably the court of King Louis XIV, before becoming the main supplier of Napoleon I. This upholstery fabric is ideal for armchairs, seats, curtains and also partition walls.
