Koziel's Toile de Jouy collection revisits ‘L'Offrande à l'Amour’, a historic motif archived at the Musée de la Toile de Jouy. This drawing by Jean Baptiste Huet, dating from the late 1780s, was printed on cotton by Manufacture Oberkampf. The scene illustrates the small pleasures of rural life: a musician plays the flute, a mother carries her child on her lap, and shepherds look after their sheep. The single-colour figures, adopted by Koziel, are available in panoramic wallpapers, carpets, and placemats. They are tinted with bistre or madder, contrasting with the light, textured background of the backing. These ancient pigments, intensified by digital precision, celebrate a timeless design from France's artistic heritage.
