For this rug, manufactured by Golran, India Mahdavi was inspired by Persian gardens, enclosed spaces surrounded by a border and often compared to paradise on earth. In this version evoking the month of march, a dense foliage with multiple shades of green is overlapping towards the centre as heckled by a spring wind. The set seems in motion and contrasts with the calm of the border, leading to an amazing zig-zag finish replacing the traditional fringes.
