Since its creation in 1980, Linie Design has focused on handcrafted manufacturing entrusted to Indian master weavers to reproduce the elegant Scandinavian designs developed by contemporary designers. The result is refined collections emphasizing the beauty of natural materials, the gesture of the craftsman creating surfaces and reliefs with a timeless style defying ephemeral trends. These works of art for the floor with a multitude of tactile and visual patterns invite the gaze as much as the touch by arousing a certain fascination. Concerned about the protection of the environment, the brand is committed to supporting local communities while trying to minimize its environmental impact in the interests of integrity and responsibility.

Linie designs handmade rugs with a concrete and transparent social and environmental approach. The brand mainly uses natural fibers such as linen, silk, and cotton, and is progressing towards more organic cotton and certified materials. Linie Design has installed solar panels in its workshops to reduce its emissions and energy costs. The brand reduces unnecessary plastic in its packaging by prioritizing recycled materials.

Linie Design fully complies with the REACH regulation and develops annually a Product Environment Guideline, created by an external chemist, to better control and reduce chemical substances in its products. The brand adheres to Care & Fair, which fights against child labor and improves the conditions of carpet weavers and their families, and it fully finances a Care & Fair school that bears its name. Its code of conduct requires its manufacturers to respect environmental laws, to ensure a safe working environment, and to comply with the brand's ethical standards.
