The know-how of a great French house

Since 1914, the company has grown and has been able to take over several prestigious houses, including Tassinari & Chatel in 1997, a Lyon silk factory created in 1680, whose prestige and know-how are recognized worldwide. The preservation of French heritage is very important to the company, and in 2006, Lelièvre Paris obtained the EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label and joined the Comité Colbert in 2024.
In 1973, Lelièvre Paris bought the Lyon-based Quenin factory, with its centuries-old expertise.
Lelièvre fabric collections are combined with wall coverings and elegant cushions and rugs. For a century, Lelièvre Paris has established itself as a symbol of French expertise: the brand continues to renew itself through daring collections and bold collaborations with big names in Haute Couture. We must not forget either a real passion for the sensuality of the materials that can be found in each Lelièvre fabric.
Lelièvre Paris also publishes the Jean Paul Gaultier range, and thus makes some of the most daring and creative collections in the world of upholstery fabric publishers.
The creative know-how resulting from these experiences brings a real fashion spirit to the velvets, silks, and other Lelièvre Paris fabrics.

Lelièvre operates on a short supply chain model, thereby minimising its carbon footprint. The distance between each stage of production is kept to a minimum. Lelièvre is proud to have two production facilities in the Lyon region, the cradle of the silk industry: the Panissières factory and one of the last hand-weaving workshops, located in the Croix Rousse district of Lyon. Over 50% of Lelièvre’s fabrics are manufactured in France in the brand’s own factories.

As a high-end brand, Lelièvre is committed to working with fine fabrics that have a minimal environmental impact. The company also holds the “Go for Good” label, an initiative by Galeries Lafayette promoting responsible consumption.
