The Moselle Lino collection by Designers Guild brings together a selection of natural fibre fabrics, all named after the most beautiful villages in France. The designs are seductive in their apparent simplicity, expressed in sober plain or shaded colours. The palette is neutral, with no prints to let the texture express itself. Linen is given its legendary flamed look, poeticised by embroidered umbel flowers. It is sometimes mixed with thick cotton or wool fibres to amplify the rustic look. The great classics like bure and cretonnes are being modernised, while retaining their traditional look. Timelessness is the key word here, revealed through an ingenious fusion of elegance, robustness and naturalness.
