Riviera Rug by Nathalie du Pasquier Memphis

Riviera rug was created in 1983 by artist Nathalie du Pasquier, whose graphic language largely contributed to establishing the visual codes of the Memphis movement, cultural phenomenon of the 80s, founded in Milan by designer Ettore Sottsass. The use of color and the play between geometric and figurative shapes illustrates the purpose of this group of revolutionary designers and architects and Riviera is a remarkable example. Handmade in pure wool by Nepalese artisans, this rug is a prestigious extract from postmodernism in the 80s.
