From the archives of the Réunion des Musées Nationaux, the motif of this panel reproduces one of the works of the painter Henri Rivière. In homage to the Japanese prints by Katsushika Hokusai and his series The thirty-six views of Mount Fuji, the French engraver imagines his series The thirty-six views of the Eiffel Tower. This lithograph shows barges on the Seine passing at the feet of the Iron Lady. Clouds, smoke from boats and ripples in the water bring movement to the whole. Made in neutral colors, this design brings a graphic touch to the decorations.
