Paisley Rug Brintons

The Paisley rug features an ornamental floral decoration of great graphic richness. Stylized corollas coexist with small flowers in clusters, scattered on a background woven with sinuous hatching. Signed Brintons, this model is inspired by one of the paisley patterns created by George Haité in the 1850s. A composition that takes up the traditional Indian boteh forms, interpreted with the decorative sensibility of the 19th century British.
