The stripes on the Night carpet are doubly inspired by painter Pierre Soulages' “Outrenoir” and paint drips. The pattern, as dark as night, was created by Patrick Jouin for Lelièvre. It stands out for the brilliance of the meticulously hand-knotted silk and wool fibres. Its lustrous reflection makes the spaces vibrate, like a light bursting out of the darkness.
