Faithful reproduction of an original work by Santi Moix, Backyard rug illustrates the beauty of plants and flowers gathered in a random manner as in courtyards. By taking an interest in the fragility of their petals, the painter uses dozens of shades that flowers take on according to their life cycle. This touching and sensitive work is hand tufted in soft, fluffy virgin wool, in which lines in low relief are sometimes distinguished, symbolising the penske line of the artist preliminary to painting.
