Gabriel, a committed Scandinavian brand

Sustainability is a fundamental concern for the Danish company, and one that is constantly evolving. All the brand's fabrics are sustainable and produced without endangering the environment and the lives of future generations. Aiming to contribute to the development of healthy interior spaces, Gabriel textiles are timeless and of the highest quality.

Made from sustainable natural fibers, polyester and recycled polyester, Gabriel fabrics meet strict requirements. Wool, a natural fiber, offers exceptional comfort and durability. Its quality remains the same over time. Polyester, on the other hand, is an extremely versatile, durable and resistant synthetic fiber. To further reduce their ecological impact, the company increasingly uses polyester recycled from used plastic bottles.

Gabriel recycles waste from other industries, transforms it into new products and sources 100% renewable electricity from several renewable sources in Scandinavia.

Gabriel, a Danish manufacturer of upholstery fabrics, combines Scandinavian design, performance and environmental commitment through recognised textile certifications. Its entire global standard collection is OEKO‑TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, ensuring that fabrics have been tested for harmful substances and meet strict requirements for chemical composition and VOC emissions.
Eighty‑two percent of this collection also carries the EU Ecolabel, an independent certification that assesses the textile’s impact across its full life cycle: raw materials, manufacturing processes, chemical substances, use and end of life. This certification imposes restrictions on pesticide residues, heavy metals and hazardous chemicals.
Certified to ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 9001 for quality management, Gabriel structures its approach around more controlled production, reduced impacts and continuous improvement. The brand also provides environmental product declarations (EPDs), useful for selecting responsible fabrics in interior projects, particularly those targeting LEED, WELL or Möbelfakta standards.
Some collections incorporate recycled fibres and circularity initiatives, such as Cura Loop, made from textile waste. Thanks to these labels and transparent documentation, Gabriel fabrics offer a reliable solution for designing sustainable, healthy and demanding interiors.
