Inspired by an old shawl, Elswick Paisley is a fabric with a paisley pattern. Stylized medallions and erased arabesques unfold on this linen and cotton fabric. The design recalls the traces of a past preserved in the fibers of a textile of yesteryear. The imprint of the Zoffany house is revealed in the graphic richness and subtle depth of the figure.
