Helena Velvet Morris and Co

Based on a silk jacquard designed by Henry Dearle in 1890, Helena cotton velvet features Persian and Turkish-inspired flowers. In a play of symmetry and arabesque, it illustrates fritillary bracts supported by acanthus leaves. The figures swirl against a background of artichokes and tulips. Their movement, underlined with vibrant colours by Morris & Co, makes the spaces more dynamic.
