Pimpernel Velvet Morris and Co

Pimpernel is the first velvet version of a wallpaper of the same name, created by William Morris in 1876. The design features chickweed flowers with intertwined leaves and stems, printed on a double cotton weave. The symmetrical arrangement and swirling figures create a slightly psychedelic charm. The bright colours, accentuated by the luminous sheen of the textile, set this design apart from the original.
