Felicia velvet features a multicoloured chevron pattern with an irregular texture. In order to create the successive V-shapes, Osborne and Little uses a jacquard loom. A few loops are then chiselled to create the pile yarn sections. These are interspersed with uncut fibres to create alternating embossed and smooth diamond shapes.
