Escale Fabric Métaphores

Escale is inspired by the landscapes, paintings and screens of Far Eastern lacquerware. This upholstery fabric from Métaphores blends harmoniously into any interior. Its pattern evokes a dreamlike atmosphere, reminiscent of the surface of water covered with water lilies or the misty reflections of clouds in shimmering water. It is made using a cut-thread technique reminiscent of the reverse side of the brocaded weavings of yesteryear. The result is a hand-embroidered effect. This is brought to life by a viscose thread that undulates and plays with the light, evoking the waves on the surface of a lake.
